The mansion was constructed by Baron Karl Kuffner de Diószerh as a family residence on the foundations of an old curia originally built by the Budatín religious order. The construction began appr. in 1885 based on the design by Viennese architect Franz von Neumann. The second reconstruction took place after a fire in 1919 and gave the mansion its present form.
