Born in Diószeg, he was an important member of the Hungarian community and helped preserve and develop Hungarian culture. He was the chairman of the local cultural organisation Csemadok. After 1989 he founded the Hungarian christian-democratic movement. Despite many hardships in his life, he remained a man of strong moral principles and unwavering faith.
