Born in the Hungarian village Pitvaros, Michal moved to Sládkovičovo during the resettlement in 1947. He studied at pedagogy school and worked in Sládkovičovo as an elementary school teacher and a librarian. He dedicated his free time to folklore traditions, played the harmonica in the children folk group Zvonček, he was a member of the Osvetanka band and also volunteered in the Evangelical Church.
