Alžbeta Ondrusová Svobodová

An excellent Slovak soprano was born in the Hungarian village Pitvaros and in 1947 moved to Sládkovičovo with her parents. She studied opera singing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. Since 1959 she had been a soloist at the Slovak National Theater, where she portrayed a number of outstanding roles.
