Michal Richter


1905‒1945


Born in Diószeg, a trained carpenter and left-wing activist. He was persecuted and imprisoned for his political activities during the interwar period. As a member of the communist party he partook in a student trip to Moscow and during World War II he resorted to illegal activities. He emigrated to London where he served as a coordinator for the Hungarian and Czechoslovak Left. He died tragically after the war while returning to Czechoslovakia.
